Joel was my best friend in Bahrain. He was a wonderful human being and will be greatly missed. He was proud of his family and especially of his children's academic and musical achievements. He and I exchanged emails as recently as the day before he died. He was excited about his decision to retire from the navy later next year. I have great memories of Joel that will last the rest of my life. Sir Joel may God keep you close to his side until we meet again my dear friend. V/r Sir Edward
